David grew up in Palama/Kaimuki areas. He is a proud graduate of the Class of 1966 McKinley High School Tigers and a 1970 alumnus of the University of Hawaii with a BBA degree. David retired in 2007 from First Hawaiian Bank after a 26 year career.

David and his wife, Joyce, have been married since 1972. They have 2 sons, Kristofer and Nicholas, and five grandchildren: Glenndalynn, Tru, Zayn, Astryd, and Aadyn. They have been residents of Mililani for more than 34 years.

Prior to joining Excel Church in 2000 (previously Mililani Missionary Church), David served in Eldership positions with Harvest Chapel in Kaimuki and Hope Chapel Mililani. David became part of the Elder Board of Excel Church in 2003.

It is an honor and privilege to be a part of a growing and maturing church under the leadership of Pastor Daryl and fellow Elders, both past and present. It is my desire to see our Excel Church brothers and sisters in Christ to grow in their relationship with the Lord, to help them to reach their God given destiny, and to help them to seek and find their God given spiritual gifts, enabling them in serving the Body of Christ and the community beyond the four physical walls of our church. In other words, to be the best they can be in Jesus.
